Payment is taken after the lesson — cash, Venmo or Zelle. Packages are billed per session, not upfront, so you are never paying for lessons you have not had.
Private tennis coaching across Los Angeles generally runs between about $85 and $140 an hour, with a national average around $113. Both of our rates sit inside that range — Hayk at $100 toward the middle, Markos at $120 toward the upper end, reflecting the depth of technical and competitive work in his sessions.
What is worth comparing is not just the hourly number. Marketplace platforms add a service fee on top of the coach's rate. Clubs require a membership before you can book anything at all. Large group clinics look cheap per hour and divide one coach twelve ways.
Here, the rate on this page is the whole cost, the court is arranged for you, and the person you text is the person who coaches you.
Whichever one you book, the hour covers the same ground: grips and contact point, footwork and recovery, serve, point construction, and what to do when the thing you practised stops working mid-match. Neither coach is limited to a level, and neither will hand a player on because a session turned out too advanced or too basic.
What differs is who each of them is on court with most weeks. Hayk spends most of his with children, juniors and adults picking up a racket for the first time — the work that takes the most patience and the plainest explanations. Markos spends most of his with 3.0-and-up players, tournament juniors and adults who want technical work at speed; he is the head coach, has competed internationally, and is the one who also takes hitting-partner sessions. That is what the $20 reflects.
So book either one. If the time you want is open with one of them, take it — you are not getting a lesser lesson. If you would rather we chose, tell us the player’s age and level and we will say who we would put you with, including when that is the cheaper option.
Both coaches teach the whole game to every level — technique, footwork, serve, movement and match play. What differs is who each one is on court with most weeks. Book whichever suits your schedule; if you would rather we picked, just tell us the age and level.
Hayk coaches every level, and spends most of his week with juniors and players starting out — patient, genuinely fun to train with, and relentless about clean fundamentals.
Markos coaches every level, and spends most of his week with 3.0-and-up players — cleaner mechanics, sharper patterns, and matches that start going the other way.

A one-hour private lesson is $100 with Hayk and $120 with Markos. If you train two or more times a week, the package rate brings that to $90 and $110 per session. Give us 24 hours notice and we will move the lesson at no charge. Inside 24 hours we will always try to reschedule, but the slot was held for you and may be charged.

It is not a lesson. It is an hour of live-ball rallying at competitive intensity with Markos — patterns, drills off real pace and match simulation. Players use it between lessons when they need a training session rather than instruction. $120 an hour.
